Tasting note
品飲筆記:金黃色澤,初聞有新鮮紅果與白桃的明亮香氣,接著是細緻的花香與些許堅果甜感。入口圓潤,覆盆子與一抹椰香在中段跳出,木質香與溫和香料(肉桂、胡椒)為結尾鋪陳,尾韻帶香草與清晰溫暖感。 酒莊背景:山崎是日本最早的純麥蒸餾所,隸屬三得利。蒸餾所座落於河川會流的地帶,霧氣與日夜溫差明顯,為原酒熟成帶來複雜層次。 釀造與熟成:採用單一純麥、銅製壺式蒸餾,並混合美國、歐洲與珍貴的Mizunara(日本橡木)桶陳,故能在果香外帶出椰子、檀木與香草的細節。瓶塞為T-top cork,酒精度43%,保留香氣細膩與口感豐厚。 田地與原料:雖非葡萄酒,但酒廠重視來自周邊穀物與麥芽的品質,並善用山崎清冽水源與當地氣候。口感上建議慢慢品味,入口溫潤、舌面有層次變化,適合與微鹹、略帶焦香的料理搭配。
Tasting note: Bright gold in the glass, The Yamazaki Distiller's Reserve opens with a fresh fruit bouquet—strawberry, cherry and white peach—layered over delicate floral notes. Mid-palate adds raspberry and a whisper of coconut, with a touch of oak spice. The finish shows sweet vanilla, a hint of cinnamon and a clean, lingering warmth. Producer notes: Yamazaki, the pioneer single-malt distillery from Suntory, benefits from unique local waters and a misty, variable climate that encourages slow, complex maturation. The Distiller's Reserve celebrates that house style: deep, multi-layered and balanced. Winemaking/distilling notes: Crafted as a single malt, the spirit is pot-distilled and matured in a mix of cask types including American and Spanish oak and prized Mizunara casks, which contribute sandalwood and coconut nuances. Bottled at 43% ABV with a T-top cork, it retains aromatic delicacy and textural richness. Vineyard/estate notes: Set at the confluence of rivers near Kyoto, Yamazaki's site brings cool, humid air and temperature swings that shape aging. Though not a vineyard product, the distillery sources top-quality malt and leans on local climate and water to produce an elegant, terroir-influenced whisky.
