Château Leoville Barton is a long-established Second Growth in Saint-Julien, stewarded by the Barton family. The estate emphasizes traditional viticulture—ploughing, manual harvest and meticulous sorting—combined with careful, plot-based vinification. Wines are aged 16–18 months in French oak (about 60% new). The terroir: Garonne gravel hilltops with clay-gravel subsoils facing the Gironde, which stabilise vine water supply and build concentration.
