A bold, high-alcohol red from South Australia showing concentrated dark-fruit aromas—blackberry, plum and candied cherry—lifted by black tea and dried floral notes. Barrel fermentation and maturation in 100% American oak (45% new) bring pronounced vanilla, toasted spice and a slightly sweet oak layer. On the palate it is dense and plush yet driven by firm tannins that give traction to the rich fruit core; espresso and tar-like accents add savoury complexity. Best enjoyed after an hour’s decant to soften oak edges; pairs beautifully with richly flavoured grilled or braised red meats.
