2022 Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon

品飲筆記:杯中先聞到濃郁的黑色果實香氣,黑莓、黑醋栗帶出微微的草本與松針氣息,橡木與咖啡巧克力的烘焙感為結構加分。入口飽滿,酸度清爽讓果味更立體,單寧紮實但不生硬,包裹感良好,尾韻偏向香料、橄欖醬與乾草本的悠長餘味。

酒莊與葡萄園:這款酒來自Mount Veeder陡峭的山坡梯田,海拔約1000至1600英尺,常年在海霧之上,早晨接受溫和日照、傍晚轉涼,成熟期拉長有利於風味濃縮與單寧成熟。小面積分區栽培、講求地塊表現。

釀造工藝:以人工採收分選果實,發酵期間控制萃取以保留鮮明果性,之後於橡木桶中熟成以帶出摩卡、香料與烘烤香。整體風格既有山地張力也兼具口感圓潤,建議醒酒後或短期陳年品嚐。


Tasting note: Aromas jump from the glass with concentrated black fruits—mulberry and blackcurrant—layered with pine-needle herbal lift, baking spice and a mocha/oak thread. The palate is full-bodied and finely focused: bright acidity keeps the fruit precise while firmly integrated tannins provide structure and grip. Flavours of dark cherry, espresso, olive tapenade and dried herbs linger toward a long, savory finish.

Vineyard & producer notes: The fruit comes from steep, terraced mountain vineyards high on Mount Veeder, planted at roughly 1,000–1,600 feet above the valley floor. These sites sit above the fog line, benefit from gentle morning sun and cooler mountain evenings, and enjoy extra hang time that promotes concentrated flavour and balanced phenolic ripeness.

Winemaking notes: Hand-harvested, fermented with attentive extraction and matured in oak to add mocha, spice and gently toasted notes while preserving varietal purity and freshness. Bottled under cork and made as a relatively small-lot, terroir-driven wine designed for both early enjoyment with decanting and medium-term cellaring.
