Bright and refined, the 2020 En Remilly Premier Cru opens with zesty citrus peel and green apple, evolving into ripe stone fruit and a cushion of buttered toast. Underneath is a fine thread of toasted hazelnut and gentle oak framing a flinty, saline minerality. Medium-full on the palate with lively acidity and a textured, creamy mid-palate, it finishes long and poised. Produced by Domaine Hubert Lamy under Olivier Lamy’s stewardship from a small, concentrated 2-hectare site planted in 1989, this Premier Cru blends precise vineyard selection with careful cellar work. Fermented and aged on fine lees with judicious oak influence to preserve freshness and add complexity, the wine will reward a short decant (about 45 minutes) and cellaring through its recommended drinking window of 2025–2050. Highly rated by critics, it pairs superbly with roast poultry, rich seafood and nutty cheeses.
