品飲筆記：酒色深寶石紅，香氣以深色果實為主，黑莓與黑加侖凸顯，伴有紫羅蘭、雪松與淡淡煙草及烘烤香，橡木已經很好地融入。入口結構紮實但不笨重，單寧細緻如絲，酸度帶來清爽的支撐，尾韻帶有礫石般的礦質與鹹鮮感，回味綿長。生產與釀造：拉菲在2014年進行嚴格篩選與分級處理，酒液於法國橡木桶中熟成約18個月，追求平衡與優雅而非過度萃取。葡萄園風土：葡萄園橫跨城堡週邊斜坡、Carruades高原與鄰近小地塊，總面積約112公頃，礫石與風沙覆蓋於石灰岩母質之上，排水良好、日照充足，造就了此酒明顯的礦物感與陳年潛力。建議醒酒約90分鐘，搭配烤紅肉或濃郁醬汁風味最佳。

Tasting note: Deep garnet-red with concentrated dark fruit on the nose — ripe blackberry and blackcurrant interwoven with violet, cedar and delicate tobacco. A discreet toast from well-integrated oak adds spice and structure. On the palate the wine is powerful yet refined: firm, polished tannins frame crunchy dark fruit, a clear mineral thread and saline lift that drives a very long, harmonious finish. Producer notes: Château Lafite Rothschild describes this 2014 as intense and elegant, showing floral and cedar notes with wood already well integrated. The palate balances richness and finesse and will reward patience — optimal drinking window extends for decades. Winemaking notes: Matured for 18 months in French oak with careful integration of wood. The team under winemaker Charles Chevalier executed rigorous sorting to address the vintage’s uneven ripening, producing a concentrated estate wine with measured extraction and polished tannins. Vineyard notes: The estate covers 112 hectares across three principal areas — the slopes around the château, the Carruades plateau to the west and a small parcel in the neighbouring township. Soils are fine deep gravel with windblown sand over a limestone subsoil, offering free drainage and sun exposure that underpin the wine’s mineral backbone and age-worthiness.
