品飲筆記:深寶石色澤,打開杯蓋先是濃郁的黑果醬、黑莓與藍莓甘露,隨後浮現細緻的炭火煙燻、雪松和黑巧克力香氣。入口飽滿、層次豐富,單寧結構紮實卻被滑順的質地包覆,酸度帶動整體節奏,尾韻悠長帶礦物感。生產與釀造:由Cathiard家族細心經營,採用整串發酵(28°C小型木槽)、人工踩皮以溫和萃取,約18個月橡木桶陳年,讓烘烤香與果味融合不突兀。葡萄園:位於Pessac‑Léognan,土壤排水良好、受大西洋氣候調節,莊園重視園中管理與果實挑選,追求低產量與風土呈現。建議醒酒90分鐘,搭配烤牛排、野味或富有菌菇風味的料理最合拍。

Tasting note: Deep, inky colour gives way to a layered nose of crème de cassis, blueberry liqueur, pressed black fruits and a subtle charcoal-smoke presence entwined with cedar, dried herbs and dark chocolate. On the palate it is full-bodied and densely concentrated yet fresh, with polished but substantial tannins and a long, mineral-tinged finish. Producer notes: From the Cathiard family estate, this Cru Classé bottling represents meticulous vineyard work and a focus on expression and longevity. Critics have praised the 2010 vintage for its definition, depth and remarkable aging potential. Winemaking notes: Whole grapes are fermented at 28°C in small wooden vats with extraction by manual punching down. The wine then sees approximately 18 months of ageing in oak, producing integrated spice and toast without overwhelming the fruit. Vineyard notes: Planted on Pessac-Léognan soils with good drainage and Atlantic influence, the parcels for this wine are managed for balance and concentration, with careful selection at harvest to deliver ripe, pure fruit and structured tannins. Ideal drinking window extends for decades, though a couple of hours’ decanting unlocks the wine’s aromatic layers.
