This Islay cask release (Cask #21) is a bold, maritime single malt bottled at a punchy 56.5% ABV. The nose opens with dense peat smoke and a briny coastal character—sea spray, iodine and a whisper of citrus peel. Mid-palate brings toasted oak, warm caramel and vanilla from the cask, layered with dried orchard fruit and baking spice. Texture is broad and oily, delivering generous weight and concentration. The finish is long and warming, smoke and salt lingering alongside roasted nuts and a hint of dark chocolate. Ideal for those who enjoy assertive, saline-smoky spirits with complex oak influence. Serve in a tulip glass and rest for around 20 minutes to let the aromatics soften.
