2022 Domaine Fernand & Laurent Pillot Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru 'Les Vergers'

Tasting Note: Bright citrus and white-flower aromatics open first, with a discreet petrol nuance and a soft trace of reduction that adds complexity without dominating. The palate offers very good volume and solid concentration for a medium-bodied wine: zesty lemon, green apple and white stone-fruit combine with a fine mineral thread and lively acidity, finishing long and refreshing.
Producer & Vineyard: From the Les Vergers premier cru site in Chassagne-Montrachet, this bottling reflects a terroir-driven approach from the family domaine of Fernand & Laurent Pillot. Low yields and careful parcel selection give ripe concentration while preserving freshness.
Winemaking: Crafted using traditional Burgundian methods with gentle pressings and attentive ageing, the wine benefits from lees contact and restrained oak influence for texture and length. The result is an elegant, precise Premier Cru that drinks well young yet will reward a few years in bottle.
