Tasting note: Bright, precise red-fruited aromatics lead — cherry, raspberry and redcurrant are joined by notes of rose petal, baking spice and a subtle forest-floor earthiness. On the palate the wine is medium-bodied with an energetic acidity and silkily integrated tannins, building to a poised, mineral-driven finish. Producer notes: From the family-run Domaine Michel Noellat et Fils, this cuvée captures the hallmarks of Vosne-Romanée: perfume, finesse and a savory depth. The domaine focuses on low yields and careful vineyard selection to concentrate flavour while preserving freshness. Winemaking notes: Gentle extraction and measured élevage preserve aromatic lift and texture. Fermentation is handled to retain purity of fruit, followed by maturation in French oak with a restrained use of new wood so that spice and structure support rather than dominate the fruit. Vineyard notes: Sourced from the Aux Genaivrieres site in Vosne-Romanée – soils of limestone and clay with good drainage and warm daytime exposure but cool nights. The combination of site and microclimate gives the wine its floral perfume, mineral thread and balanced structure.
