Producer & winemaking notes: From Château Beychevelle’s hilltop gravel vineyards, the 2020 undergoes careful sorting and 18 months élevage in oak. The vintage yielded small, concentrated berries; vinification emphasizes balance—extraction for structure, gentle oak integration for spice and length.

Sommelier's private note: On pour the wine shows bright purple hues; the nose opens to blackberries, black cherry and a ribbon of dark chocolate and violet. The palate is layered—ripe dark fruit framed by cedar and tobacco, grainy yet silky tannins and a lively mineral lift. With 60–90 minutes decanting the wine blossoms: fruit becomes sweeter, tannins round, the finish stretches long and saline.
