This 25-year-old expression from The Glenlivet is a study in layered maturation. Finished across first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry and Tronçais oak Cognac casks, it displays deep amber color and an aromatic profile of dried fig, red cherry and blood orange lifted by toffee and vanilla. The Cognac casks contribute warming ginger and toasted oak with a whisper of charred pineapple, while PX finish brings indulgent raisin and syrupy sweetness. On the palate the whisky is full-bodied and silky, offering honeyed citrus, chestnut and a seam of dried spice—cinnamon, nutmeg and a trace of mint tea—before a long, gently smoky and leather-tinged finish. Crafted by The Glenlivet team under Master Distiller Alan Winchester and matured in French Tronçais oak, it balances the house’s signature smooth fruitiness with rich, age-driven complexity.

The Glenlivet is one of Speyside’s most iconic distilleries, founded in 1824 and today part of the Chivas Regal family. Renowned for a clean, fruity house style, the distillery pairs traditional copper pot distillation with careful cask selection. For the XXV release the team, led by Master Distiller Alan Winchester, selectively finished the spirit in first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and Tronçais oak Cognac casks to add concentrated dried-fruit sweetness and warm spice character to an already refined malt.
