Crafted by Burgundy benchmark producer Nicolas Rossignol, this 2022 Moulin-a-Vent completely reimagines the region's heritage. Drawing fruit from two prime parcels nestled on mineral-rich granite soils, Rossignol applies the same uncompromising methods he uses in his premier and grand cru Côte de Beaune cellars: 50% whole-cluster vinification followed by an extensive 18-month maturation in lightly toasted French oak barrels (20% new wood). The wine bursts with focused aromas of ripe wild dark cherries, crushed violets, dried herbs, and wet granite minerals. The palate delivers striking density and tension, balancing concentrated dark fruit with fine-grained, structured tannins and vibrant natural freshness. It finishes remarkably long, displaying refined savory nuance and pedigree that outclasses its humble tier and easily rewards cellar aging over the next decade.
