品飲筆記:蘇格登15年特別版先以蜂蜜、焦糖與烘乾果香迎面,接著是香草與溫暖的橡木香,微微柑橘皮提亮。入口圓潤,焦糖與杏乾的甜感與烘烤堅果、肉桂等香料交織,結尾帶有柔和的苦巧克力與溫暖辛香,餘韻悠長。 酒廠背景:蘇格登向來注重穩健成熟與桶型選擇,這款特別版展現了酒廠在橡木使用上的平衡功力,既保留麥芽的細緻,又讓木香成為層次的承接。 釀造與陳釀:傳統銅製蒸餾器慢速蒸餾,15年陳年以美國橡木前波本桶為主,輔以少量西班牙雪莉桶增添烘果深度。長時間穩定熟成,讓口感更為圓潤、有層次。 田野與原料:使用本地優質大麥與純淨泉水,產區的涼爽氣候與穩定溫度為長期陳釀創造理想條件,間接造就一致且純淨的麥芽底蘊。 飲用建議:直飲或加幾滴水最能展現細節,倒入杯中靜置約10分鐘再啜飲。搭配深色巧克力、熟成奶酪或輕煙燻肉類,風味相得益彰。

Tasting note: The 2022 Singleton 15 Years Special Release opens with a generous nose of honeyed toffee, vanilla pod and baked orchard fruits, layered over warm oak spice and subtle citrus peel. On the palate it is rounded and silky — caramel and dried apricot lead, followed by toasted oak, nutmeg and a touch of dark chocolate bitterness that keeps the profile balanced. The finish is long and warming, with lingering spice and a soft oak echo. Producer notes: Bottled as a 15-year expression within the Special Release series, this Singleton showcases the distillery’s emphasis on gentle maturation and balanced oak influence. The release highlights careful cask selection to develop sweetness and complexity without overpowering spice. Production & maturation: Distilled in traditional copper stills and matured for a decade and a half predominantly in American oak ex-bourbon casks with selected Spanish oak (sherry) influence to add dried fruit depth. Slow, controlled maturation and skilled marrying of casks yield a smooth, integrated spirit with pronounced mid-palate richness. Vineyard/field context: Barley and water sources are selected to support clean fermentation and a delicate malt character; the surrounding Speyside fields and cool climate contribute indirectly through consistent raw materials and temperate maturation conditions. Serving: Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water and rested for about 10 minutes in the glass to open. Pair with dark chocolate, matured cheeses or lightly smoked meats to complement its toffee and dried-fruit layers.
