The 2020 M. Chapoutier Le Clos is a testament to the exquisite terroir of Saint-Joseph. This organic and biodynamically farmed Syrah is a symphony of dark, garnet hues and purple highlights, revealing a nose rich in dark fruits like cherry and blackberry, and a pronounced minerality with graphite undertones. On the palate, it is soft, rich, and elegantly structured, with very fine, silky tannins and a long, aromatic finish that speaks to its granite origins. The wine has been aged entirely in barrels for around 20 months, with 25% new oak, allowing for a harmonious integration of flavors.
