Tasting note

這支 2014 卡帝娜爾酒款來自納帕山區高地葡萄園，口感飽滿卻不失優雅。先是濃郁的黑莓與藍果香，再帶出咖啡、摩卡和一抹香草、檀香的木桶氣息；單寧結實而細緻，酸度帶來良好張力，收尾綿長。酒款以多個山坡地塊混釀，火山土與碎石土壤賦予果實濃度與厚度，而較涼爽的園區則提供細膩的花香與結構。釀酒師精心於法國橡木桶中熟成近兩年，適合先醒一小時再飲，用來搭配烤羔羊、厚切牛排或濃郁燉煮料理都十分合拍。

A concentrated, mountain-influenced Napa red from Cardinale Estate, this 2014 bottling balances powerful fruit with refined structure. Layered aromas of black cassis, blueberry compote, coffee grounds and mocha are joined by dried herbs, anise and a hint of sandalwood from 19 months in French oak (94% new). The blend was assembled from multiple high-elevation sites — Spring Mountain, Howell Mountain, Diamond Mountain and Mount Veeder among them — giving both weight and lift: plush dark fruit and density from volcanic and rocky soils, and floral, fine tannin structure from cooler volcanic parcels. Winemaker Christopher Carpenter crafted a wine of great texture, length and aging potential; decant for an hour to let the layers open. Pairs beautifully with roasted or grilled red meats, rich stews and matured cheeses.
