This Goldene Kapsel bottling from Markus Molitor's Zeltinger Sonnenuhr is an Auslese of concentrated poise. Aromas of candied orange peel, dried apricot and a thread of forest honey lead into a palate that balances plush sweetness with vivid, sculpting acidity. Mineral and flinty notes—plus a touch of salted caramel and faint smokiness—give depth and an elegant savory counterpoint. Unoaked and carefully selected from sun-exposed, steep slate slopes, the wine shows dense texture and a long, refined finish that will reward short-term cellaring but is already singing after a 30–60 minute decant.

Weingut Markus Molitor is a family-run estate in the Mosel renowned for meticulous, site-driven bottlings. Working steep, slate-rich vineyards such as the famed Zeltinger Sonnenuhr, the team focuses on hand-harvested selection and gentle cellar work. For this Goldene Kapsel Auslese, only the best grapes are picked late and sorted, pressed carefully and fermented cool in stainless steel to preserve primary fruit and mineral clarity.
