【侍酒師私房筆記】倒一杯先聞到深色漿果與紫羅蘭氣息,接着是雪茄盒式的雪松與煙草,入口質地飽滿、丹寧結實但細緻,帶點鹹礦物尾韻,收口有微苦巧克力與奶糖感。醒一小時,層次更分明,適合慢慢品。

【Sommelier’s private note】Pour and pause: after 60–90 minutes the black-fruit core opens to violet and cedar, then tobacco and a salty mineral thread. Tannins are firm but fine-grained—silky on the mid-palate and persistent on the finish, with a discreet nougat-dark chocolate echo.

【Winemaking & Producer】La Dame de Montrose is the château’s second label, created as an earlier-drinking expression of the estate’s elite terroir. Grapes are vinified to the estate’s rigorous standards and aged about 12 months in French oak. The 95-hectare, contiguous Montrose vineyard sits on gravel-sand terraces over clay subsoil, offering excellent drainage and deep root reserves.

【Occasion / Pairing】Ideal for a celebratory steak dinner, Sunday roast with bone marrow, or Cantonese roast meat sharing—pairs exceptionally well with beef rib, côte de boeuf and aged cheeses.

Winery

Château Montrose is a historic Médoc estate with a contiguous 95-hectare vineyard surrounding the château and cellars. Known for gravelly terraces over clay subsoil, the property produces structured, age-worthy wines. La Dame de Montrose is the estate’s second label, created in 1983 as a more approachable expression of the terroir and typically representing around 40–45% of production. Ownership and investment in quality make the wines consistent and classically styled.
