2023 Carruades de Lafite

品飲筆記：前調以黑果與紅櫻桃為主，伴有石墨、雪松與乾菸草的成熟氣息，細緻的香料和花香為整體帶來層次。口感集中但不厚重，酸度明快，質地絲綢般滑順，單寧細緻圓潤，尾韻乾淨且延展。
酒莊與產區：Carruades 是拉菲山頂旁的經典地塊，二牌以這些特定園塊的特色為核心，保留家族風格但更顯親切與早期適飲性。
釀造與陳年：由釀酒師 Eric Kohler 掌舵，葡萄園由 Louis Caillard 管理，2023 年以小心控產與精細釀造見長；酒液在法國橡木桶中陳年約 18 個月，橡木帶來淡雅香料與結構而不掩蓋果味。
葡萄園環境與口感提示：Carruades 高地的土壤與向陽坡位賦予果實集中度與礦感；入口能感受到清晰的果酸與細膩單寧，與烤肉或熟成硬質起司非常合拍。語氣輕鬆：這是一支帶有優雅骨架的二牌，年輕時醒酒後就能表現，也值得陳放以見更複雜變化。

Tasting note: Aromas of blackcurrant and red cherry are set against graphite, cedar and dried tobacco; subtle floral and spicy hints add lift. On the palate the wine is concentrated yet elegant: bright, fresh acidity drives a mid-weight, silky texture with fine, rounded tannins and a long, persistent finish.
Producer notes: Carruades de Lafite is Château Lafite Rothschild’s second wine, born from specific parcels on the Carruades plateau adjacent to the château. It shares the Grand Vin’s sense of place but expresses its own personality through selection and parcel focus.
Winemaking notes: Crafted under winemaker Eric Kohler and overseen by Louis Caillard in the vineyard, the 2023 spent approximately 18 months in French oak barrels. Vinification and élevage aim to preserve freshness and purity while adding subtle oak spice and structure.
Vineyard notes: The fruit comes from carefully chosen plots on the Carruades plateau — soils and exposure on the hilltop deliver concentrated fruit with mineral lift. Meticulous viticultural management and attentive yields produce healthy, ripe fruit with clear definition and balance.

Château Lafite Rothschild needs little introduction — a historic First Growth estate perched in Pauillac, stewarded by the Rothschild family. Carruades de Lafite is the property’s second wine, drawing from select plots on the Carruades plateau. The domaine combines traditional Bordeaux techniques with careful parcel selection and modern cellar practices to produce wines of finesse and longevity.
