Château Angélus is legendary for its majestic clay-limestone terroir situated on the prestigious south-facing slopes of Saint-Émilion. In 2021, the winemaking team leveraged decades of precision viticulture to navigate a challenging yet rewarding vintage. Utilizing cold pre-fermentation soaking and aging for 22 months in finest French oak, they crafted a medium-bodied masterpiece of classic freshness. Upon pouring, it reveals delicate layers of violet, espresso, and sandalwood, leading to a palate of pure red fruit and candied orange rind. The mouthfeel is exceptionally silky and elegant, marked by a lively tension and incredibly fine, chalky tannins that guide the wine into a persistent, structured finish. A brilliant vintage designed to cellar gracefully for decades.
