2022 Chateau de Chassagne Montrachet Chassagne Montrachet Clos du Chateau

A poised Burgundian white that balances tensile minerality with a creamy, toasted-almond core.

【Why choose it?】
1) Premier terroir expression -> Delivers precise mineral drive and regional identity without shouting; immediate reward for both collectors and dinner hosts.
2) Elegant oak integration -> Subtle toast lifts texture and length, adding complexity while keeping freshness.
3) Versatile food partner -> Rises to shellfish and richer poultry dishes; a reliable table star for special occasions.

【Sommelier's private note】On the nose: crisp citrus, white blossoms and a hint of stone fruit. On the palate: brisk acidity opens to a rounded, creamy mid-palate with toasted almond and wet-stone minerality, finishing long and focused. Drink now with gentle aeration (30 minutes) or cellar short-term for added silkiness.

【Occasion】Perfect for celebratory dinners, intimate seafood feasts or a refined weekend roast—works well for Hong Kong dinner parties where food and conversation run long.

【Competitive Edge】Compared with larger-name bottlings, this Clos offers focused terroir clarity and a more approachable price-to-quality ratio — a discerning alternative for shoppers who want authenticity without the markup.

Winery

Château de Chassagne-Montrachet is a traditional Burgundian domaine with holdings in notable plots around Chassagne. The producer focuses on low-intervention viticulture, careful selection at harvest and balanced oak ageing to showcase site expression. Fermentation typically occurs in barrel with part malolactic to temper acidity, followed by fine lees ageing to add texture.
