Tasting note

品飲筆記:色澤深沉,散發成熟黑果與黑櫻桃的香氣,隨之而來的是細緻的花香(像薰衣草)、溫和香料與一抹檀木與可可味。入口中至偏飽滿,單寧絲緞般包覆,酸度清爽帶動整體節奏,果味集中且層次分明,餘韻清新而持久。 酒莊與田地:歌利亞由 Henri Martin 逐塊土地累積而成,很多地塊在1855年被列為優良產區,園址主要集中在 Saint-Julien(少部分在 Haut-Médoc),是由多塊風土拼貼出的葡萄園網絡。採收採用人工分級,對果實的挑選非常謹慎。 釀造手法:採用不鏽鋼控溫發酵以保留明亮香氣,之後於法國橡木桶中陳釀約14個月(平均40%換新桶),賦予淡雅的香草與香料結構而不掩蓋果味。整體釀造走經典、穩健路線,適合搭配紅肉或陳年起司。 口感提示:建議醒酒1小時以上,入口可感受圓潤的單寧與細緻的礦感,吃肉或帶汁的料理會把酒的香氣推得更明顯。

Tasting note: Deep garnet at the rim with an intense, composed bouquet of kirsch-like dark fruit, cassis, black raspberry and a lift of floral perfume (lavender/heliotrope). Secondary notes include Indian spice, sandalwood, tobacco and dark chocolate. On the palate it is medium to full-bodied with plush, silk-like tannins, a lively backbone of acidity and concentrated black/red fruit that carries through to a long, invigorating finish. Producer & vineyard: Founded and assembled parcel by parcel by Henri Martin, this estate brings together many holdings once classified among the 1855 grands crus. The Domaines Henri Martin vineyards sit mainly within Saint-Julien (with some holdings in Haut-Médoc), reflecting a patchwork of classic Médoc terroirs. Manual harvest ensures careful selection at picking. Winemaking & ageing: Traditional winemaking in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks preserves freshness and aromatic precision. The wine was aged for 14 months in French oak casks, with approximately 40% renewal of barrels, giving gentle spice and structure without overwhelming the fruit. Closure is natural cork. Cellaring & service: Approachable with 1–2 hours’ aeration now, this vintage also rewards medium-term ageing (optimal window c.2028–2040+). Serve at 16–18°C. Pair with roasted or grilled red meats, game or mature cheeses.

Chateau Gloria was assembled by Henri Martin over many years through the purchase of parcels, several of which were formerly classified in 1855. Today the estate—owned by Jean Louis Triaud and managed within Domaines Henri Martin—covers vineyards mainly in Saint-Julien with additional plots in the Haut-Médoc. The approach is classic Médoc: manual harvest, careful sorting, temperature-controlled stainless steel fermentation and measured oak ageing to balance fruit and structure.
