Chateau Les Carmes Haut-Brion is an embodiment of sophistication from the esteemed Pessac-Leognan appellation. This wine, with its medium ruby-red hue and dark pigmentation, offers a symphony of ripe, dark-berry fruit aromas, elegantly restrained and complemented by leafy undertones. The palate is graced with a concentrated bitter licorice core, wrapped in medium body and fine tannins that gently grip the mid-palate. A backbone of good, fresh acidity and balanced alcohol ensures that the dark licorice fruit elegantly unfurls on the finish, revealing layers of damson and dark plum flavors that persist with grace. Decanting for two hours is recommended to fully appreciate its complexity.
