品飲筆記:深寶石紅色,帶紫色邊緣。香氣以黑莓、黑櫻桃與成熟李子為主軸,伴隨紫羅蘭花香、煙草與雪茄皮般的香氣,尾段可感受到可可與香草的烘桶香。口感豐滿且圓潤,入口有奶油般的質地與細緻的單寧,層次分明,餘韻悠長且帶香料感。
酒莊背景:聖皮爾古堡歷史悠久,源自17世紀,經過數次分產後於1980年代由Henri Martin重整,現由Martin家族經營,作為聖朱利安的重要四級名莊,其風格兼具優雅與力量。
葡萄園與土壤:葡萄園坐落在典型的Gunzian礫石地帶,底層為粘砂質土壤,排水良好,白天蓄熱、夜間散熱,使果實成熟而保有結構與礦物感。
釀造方式:採人工採收,於不鏽鋼控溫槽進行傳統發酵,之後在橡木桶中熟成約18個月。釀造節奏著重於保留果味的純淨同時用木桶帶出香氣與柔和單寧。
飲用建議:酒體飽滿、結構扎實,年輕飲用時建議醒酒約60–90分鐘,最佳陳年期廣泛,可長期保存。配菜以牛排、烤牛或野味及風味濃郁的成熟乳酪最合拍。喝起來既有力量也有紳士般的細緻口感。
Tasting note: Deep ruby with purple hues. Aromas of ripe blackberries and plums mingle with floral violet notes, tobacco leaf, cedar and a sweep of cocoa and vanilla from careful oak ageing. On the palate it is full-bodied and plush — creamy, with well-integrated, fine-grained tannins and a long, spicy finish.
Producer notes: Chateau Saint-Pierre is a historic Fourth Growth reconstituted in the 1980s by Henri Martin and today run by the Martin family; it is widely regarded as a classic Saint-Julien example, combining refinement with power.
Vineyard notes: Grapes come from vineyards planted on Gunzian gravel over a clayey-sandy subsoil in Saint-Julien, a terroir that brings structure and minerality while allowing ripe, concentrated fruit.
Winemaking notes: Hand-harvested, vinified in traditional stainless-steel temperature-controlled tanks, then matured for around 18 months in oak. Fermentation and élevage aim for balance: ripe fruit supported by subtle oak and polished texture.
Drinkability & service: Dry, structured and ageworthy — decant for 60–90 minutes if serving young. Drinking window approx. 2021–2050. Serve at 16–18°C.
Food pairing: Works beautifully with classic red-meat dishes — steak frites, roast beef or game — and mature, savory cheeses.
