A classic Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru from a respected family domaine, this 2019 Les Vallerots offers an immediate perfume of red cherry, wild raspberry and a hint of crushed herbs. On the palate it is medium-bodied with taut acidity, fine-grained tannins and a savory undercurrent of forest floor and iron-tinged mineral. Winemaking favors gentle extraction and careful élevage in French oak (a measured portion of new wood) to preserve terroir expression and freshness. The vines occupy steep, well-drained slopes in Les Vallerots, where clay-limestone soils and cool nights help retain acidity and aromatic lift.
