2020 Domaine Bitouzet-Prieur Puligny Montrachet Les Levrons

A classic Puligny-Montrachet from Domaine Bitouzet-Prieur, the Les Levrons 2020 shows a poised, medium-full profile with bright, linear acidity and a saline mineral spine. Aromas of lemon zest, white flowers and ripe stone fruit lead into a palate that combines a silky, mouthcoating texture with notes of toasted almond and subtle toast from barrel ageing. There's a faint post-bottling reductive edge—decanting for about 45 minutes helps the fruit and minerality open. The finish is dry, precise and lingering. Critics have praised its purity and balance (Jasper Morris: 91/100). Best enjoyed now with short decanting or cellar through the late 2020s.
