2020 Domaine Daniel Dampt & Fils Chablis 1er Cote de Lechet
2020 Domaine Daniel Dampt & Fils Chablis 1er Cote de Lechet
Tasting Note: Pale gold with a crystalline core—aromas of green apple, lemon peel, white flowers and a pronounced wet-stone minerality. On the palate it is brisk and focused: zesty citrus, crunchy orchard fruit and a chalky, saline texture that carries through to a clean, persistent finish. Producer Notes: From the family-run Domaine Daniel Dampt & Fils (Vincent and Sébastien Dampt), this Premier Cru reflects meticulous vineyard work and a clear respect for terroir. Winemaking Notes: Gentle whole‑cluster pressing, cool fermentation and careful élevage—primarily in stainless steel and neutral vessels with lees contact to build texture without obvious oak influence. Little intervention in cellar ensures purity and drive. Vineyard Notes: Cote de Lechet sits on classic Kimmeridgian limestone; east-facing slopes, low yields and old vines give concentrated, mineral-driven fruit and vibrant acidity. Drink now through the early 2030s; best opened with a 30–60 minute decant to show its layered minerality.
