A refined expression from Domaine Rémi Jobard’s Monthelie Premier Cru site, Les Vignes Rondes (2023) offers a poised bouquet of red cherry, wild strawberry and rose petal with hints of forest floor and subtle spice. On the palate it shows bright, lively acidity balanced by silky, fine-grained tannins and a medium body that carries concentrated red-fruit flavors and an earthy, mineral thread through the finish. Winemaking is focused and low-intervention: fruit is hand-harvested from well-sited slopes, fermented with gentle extraction to preserve freshness, and matured in French oak with measured use of new barrels to support structure without overpowering the fruit. The result is an elegant, terroir-driven wine that pairs beautifully with roast duck, mushroom dishes or simply enjoyed slowly to appreciate its layered, persistent finish.
