Bright and focused, this Pouilly-Fumé opens with citrus zest, green apple and white-flower notes lifted by a distinct flinty, smoky mineral thread. The palate is taut and racy — clean, saline acidity drives a medium-bodied frame with fine textural depth from brief lees contact. The finish is long and refreshing, with that characteristic stony persistence that makes it food-friendly and compelling on its own. Produced by the Dagueneau family operation in the Upper Loire, Les Filles reflects low-yield, site-driven fruit from flint-rich parcels. Hand harvesting, gentle pressing and careful temperature-controlled fermentation preserve pure aromatics; short time on fine lees adds mouthfeel without masking the mineral clarity.
