Tasting Note: Bright aromas of fresh peach and lively citrus open onto a juicy, medium-bodied palate. Gentle creaminess from extended lees contact is kept in check by vibrant acidity, leading to an elegant, almost silky finish.
Producer Notes: This cuvée, labelled 'Nos Cinq Terroirs', pools fruit from five distinct parcels (some 21 hectares total) farmed biodynamically. The Famille Paquet / Domaine des Valanges team aims to express each micro-terroir with restrained winemaking and freshness.
Winemaking Notes: Grapes see careful whole-bunch handling, cool fermentation and an extended period on the fine lees to build texture without excess oak influence. The result is subtle richness and a polished mouthfeel rather than overt butteriness.
Vineyard Notes: Fruit comes from several small plots across the Maconnais — varied aspects and stony soils that give lift and energy to the wine. Low-intervention, biodynamic practices prioritise soil health and clarity of expression.
