Tasting note

品飲印象:深紅寶石色帶紫邊,黑醋栗與黑莓香氣濃郁,夾雜雪松、菸草與草本香,還有一抹礦感。入口集中卻不笨重,酸度清新帶有彈性,單寧細緻有支撐力,整體質地光滑,尾韻層次豐富且持久。 酒莊與生產:Les Forts de Latour 在田間與酒窖同樣講究,與頭牌的差別主要在葡萄來源與新桶使用比例(約50–60%新桶)。由酒莊團隊在傳統與現代技術間取得平衡,保留風土特徵同時追求穩定品質。 釀造與陳釀:在釀造過程中強調成熟果香的保留與細緻單寧的萃取,之後放入橡木桶陳釀約18個月(新桶比例中等),讓香氣與結構有了溫和融合,不會蓋住本身的鮮活感。 葡萄園與風土:Les Forts 該年份集合了數塊特色地塊—Piñada、Petit Batailley、St. Anne 等老藤地,平均樹齡約40年,另有位於Artigues的碎石梯田島狀園區,這些多樣土壤與年齡差使酒款在同一年份中呈現更多面向。 口感建議:若當下飲用建議醒酒一小時左右,口感會更開放;也非常適合中長期醒藏。搭配烤羊、紅肉與成熟起司能互相襯托風味。

Tasting Note: Deep ruby with a violet rim. Aromas of ripe blackcurrant, dark berries and cassis are lifted by cedar, tobacco leaf, crushed herbs and a hint of graphite. On the palate the wine is concentrated yet refined — polished, fresh and richly textured with firm but very fine-grained tannins and a lively mineral-accented acidity. The finish is long, layered and persistent. Producer Notes: Les Forts de Latour is made with the same meticulous attention as the Grand Vin, differing mainly in grape origins and a slightly lower new-oak percentage. In maturation they use roughly 50–60% new barrels, and the final blend shifts year to year but traditionally carries a higher share of Merlot than the first wine. Winemaking Notes: Fermentation and élevage are handled with precision under winemaker Hélène Genin. The wine sees approximately 18 months in oak (50–60% new), which envelopes ripe fruit with subtle spice and well-integrated oak without overwhelming freshness and terroir expression. Vineyard Notes: Les Forts is assembled from long-standing vineyard blocks — Piñada, Petit Batailley and St. Anne — with an average vine age around 40 years, plus a seven-hectare island of vines on gravel terraces at Artigues acquired in 2005 and additional small plots acquired later. These varied parcels contribute complexity and different textural nuances from vintage to vintage. Cellaring & Service: Drink now with careful decanting (60–90 minutes) or cellar for decades; the 2016s will develop beautifully through mid-century. Serve slightly below room temperature (16–18°C).
