Gianni Brunelli is a family-focused producer in Montalcino known for crafting classic Brunello with attention to site expression. Fruit for this bottle comes from Podernovone (planted 1997, 350 m, SW exposure) and Canalicchio (planted 1989, 200 m, NW exposure). Soils are galestro and clay loams; vines are cordon trained and spur pruned. Hand-harvested fruit undergoes fermentation at 28°C (5–6 days) with 12–16 days maceration (up to 32°C), followed by 24–30 months in Slavonian oak casks (25–30 hl).
