The 2010 Liber Pater is a testament to the art of winemaking, hailing from the prestigious Vin de France appellation. This wine exudes a complex bouquet of charcoal, wet earth, and forest floor, complemented by smoked fruit. On the palate, it reveals a silky, fresh, and polished texture, brimming with lush, ripe dark red berries and a hint of tobacco in the finish. Crafted by the skilled winemaker Loïc Pasquet, this wine is vinified in clay amphorae, followed by a two-month maceration and three years of ageing, ensuring depth and character. The vineyard boasts ungrafted ancient indigenous Bordeaux varietals, grown on sandy soils with a high density of vines, contributing to the wine's unique profile. With a limited production of 1200 bottles per year, this organic wine, free of added sulfites, is a rare find.
