Chateau La Lagune 2005 represents a monumental milestone in the modern history of this prestigious 1855 Third Growth estate. Perched on rare gravelly knolls composed of quartz and silica, the microclimate allows slow, perfect ripening with innate finesse. Under the visionary stewardship of Caroline Frey, rigorous parcel-by-parcel manual and optical berry selection ensure only pristine fruit enters the gravity-fed vats. Aged meticulously in fine French oak for 16 months, the 2005 vintage delivers a majestic sensory journey: deep ruby-violet in the glass, unfolding with intoxicating bouquets of dark berries, sweet tobacco box, incense, and cocoa powder.
