The 2015 Chateau Montrose La Dame de Montrose is a captivating wine from the esteemed Saint-Estephe appellation in Bordeaux. This second label from Chateau Montrose is crafted with the same meticulous care as their First Wine, showcasing a supple and silky profile. The wine opens with pronounced aromas of red fruit, evolving into complex notes of ripe black fruit, smoky and toasty nuances, and a hint of white flowers. On the palate, it is clean and elegant, with a velvety texture supported by silky tannins. The finish is long and reveals delightful notes of oak and liquorice. This wine is perfect for pairing with grilled lamb chops, beef stew, mature cheeses, and roasted duck.

Chateau Montrose is renowned for its exceptional terroir and meticulous winemaking. The 95-hectare vineyard, surrounding the château, winery, and outbuildings, benefits from a unique geological formation that ensures natural drainage and ideal growing conditions. The 2015 vintage was marked by a colder winter, early bud burst, and uniform flowering. The dry summer led to water stress, slowing vine development, but the September showers and beneficial drying winds ensured high-quality grapes. The vinification process was tailored to each of the 55 batches, resulting in a precise and refined wine.
