The nose is rich with fresh dark fruits like blackberry and cherry, complemented by spices and lightly grilled wood notes. This wine is crafted from a blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon and 48% Merlot, sourced from gravelly plots near the Gironde estuary, which provides an ideal environment for the grapes. The 2016 vintage benefited from a long Indian summer, resulting in excellent ripeness and quality. The wine was aged for 18 months in 60% new barrels and 40% one-vintage barrels, adding complexity and depth.
