The 2018 Riesling Wehlener Sonnenuhr Spätlese (Golden Capsule) displays a brilliant, very delicate and filigreed, flinty and slatey but sensual and irresistible bouquet of fully ripe golden Riesling grapes nourished by blue and gray slate soils. Sweet and piquant on the palate, this is a pure, lush and elegant, highly stimulating WSU with perfectly ripe fruit and some minty notes on the finish. It's fabulous in its precision and mineral freshness as well as its terroir expression. WA 94
