Tasting note
顏色呈現豐厚的金琥珀色,第一口就能感受到雪梨桶帶來的乾果香:葡萄乾、無花果的甜感與香草、橙皮的明亮氣息夾雜烘烤橡木和淡淡的肉桂香。口感圓潤而不膩,酒體中段展現焦糖與烘果的層次,微微溫暖的辛香讓尾韻更耐人尋味。整體餘韻長而柔和,帶有一點堅果般的回甘。
酒廠與生產:麥卡倫自1824年以來堅持對木桶與酒液的精研,雪梨桶(Oloroso)來源自西班牙赫雷斯,經由酒廠的木桶大師挑選、烘烤與調理,並讓原酒在同一桶中靜置熟成十二年。雖不是傳統葡萄園,但周邊的大麥田、清冽泉水與工匠精神同樣塑造了這支酒的性格。

Colour: rich golden amber. Nose: a classic Sherry-cask signature—dried fruits (raisins, sultana), warm vanilla and gentle orange peel with toasted oak and a hint of baking spice. Palate: smooth and medium–full, the spirit’s natural richness marries the toasted, Oloroso-seasoned oak to deliver layered flavors of caramel, dried orchard fruit and cinnamon. Finish: long and resonant, lingering sweet dried fruit, oak spice and a warm, slightly nutty aftertaste.
Producer notes: The Macallan places extraordinary emphasis on the marriage of spirit and wood. Hand-picked Oloroso sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez are crafted, toasted and seasoned under the supervision of the Master of Wood, then filled and left to mature undisturbed for 12 years to achieve this expression’s ripe character and natural colour.
Production & maturation: Matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry-seasoned oak casks, the distillery’s meticulous cask selection and gentle marrying of spirit layers create complexity without heavy overtures—balancing fruit, oak and spice. Serve neat or with a few drops of water; allow to rest briefly after opening to reveal its aromatic depth.
