The palate is luxuriously velvety — a shortbread-like sweetness underpinned by vanilla, lightly toasted marshmallow, dried orange, fig and a touch of cinnamon. The finish is medium, lingering on butterscotch and freshly baked biscuits. Producer Notes: A Night on Earth is a celebratory release that evokes New Year traditions in Scotland — sharing and gifting sweet treats at Hogmanay. Crafted from a selection of The Macallan’s American and European sherry-seasoned oak casks together with American ex-bourbon barrels, it delivers the house’s signature rich, sweet shortbread character with festive orange and spice highlights. Production & Maturation: Matured in a mix of sherry casks and American oak (plus French oak influence), this bottling balances sherry oak warmth with lighter ex-bourbon freshness. The Macallan’s careful cask selection and seasoned wood produce a rounded mouthfeel and layered sweetness without heaviness.
