The 1989 Echo de Lynch Bages Chateau Haut-Bages Averous is a remarkable wine from the esteemed Pauillac appellation in Bordeaux. This wine boasts beautiful aromas of blackberry, currant, and red licorice, complemented by an undertone of fresh herbs. It is full-bodied with a long and silky finish, showcasing the meticulous craftsmanship of the Famille JM Cazes. The grapes are hand-picked and sorted at the vineyard, and the wine is aged in one-year-old French oak barrels for 12 months. Château Haut-Bages Averous, now known as Echo de Lynch-Bages, is a property in Pauillac acquired by André Cazes. For over 30 years, it served as the second wine of Lynch-Bages. The vineyard is characterized by its Garonne Gravel soil, and the grapes are hand-picked and sorted. The wine is aged in one-year-old French oak barrels for 12 months, under the ownership of Famille JM Cazes.
