Tasting note: Bright, aromatic and precisely balanced — lifted citrus and orchard fruit aromas mingle with white blossoms and a cool slate seam. On the palate the wine shows a gentle residual sweetness framed by lively acidity, yellow-peach and lime fruit, a saline minerality and a clean, refreshing finish. Producer notes: From the Markus Molitor house range, this bottling reflects the estate’s focus on site clarity and purity. Grapes are hand-harvested from the Klosterberg area in Wehlen, where steep slate slopes and a cool Mosel climate slow ripening and concentrate flavors. Winemaking: Grapes are carefully whole-cluster pressed and fermented at cool temperatures to preserve aromatics; fermentation is managed to retain a touch of sweetness, then the wine is bottled young to capture freshness. Vineyard notes: Klosterberg’s steep terraces and slate soils give a pronounced mineral thread and bright acidity. Light touch in cellar and low yields in the vineyard result in a wine that’s approachable now but will also develop subtle complexity with short-term aging.
