The 1987 Pavillon Blanc du Chateau Margaux is a refined and elegant white wine from the prestigious Bordeaux region. Chateau Margaux is one of the most prestigious wineries in Bordeaux, known for its exceptional quality and heritage. The Pavillon Blanc is produced from an eleven-hectare vineyard exclusively planted with Sauvignon Blanc. The vineyard is situated on a historic plot of the estate, which was replanted with white vines due to the high risk of spring frosts. The winemaking process involves fermentation in oak barrels and ageing for 6 to 8 months in French oak, under the expertise of winemakers Philippe Barré and Emile Peynaud.
