一般酒莊要「轉型有機」已經好難,但Château Coutet係「all-time organic」——唔係後來轉,係四百年來從未用過農藥。點解?因為佢哋祖先係住喺嗰度、自給自足,為咗健康生活環境而自然唔用化學品。呢個做法意外地保留咗超高嘅生物多樣性,而有機最難嘅就係建立生態平衡,呢啲係短期內唔可能做到嘅。
Most wineries struggle to “convert” to organic. Château Coutet is all-time organic — they never used pesticides in 400 years. Why? Because their ancestors lived there and grew their own food. To keep their living environment healthy, they simply avoided chemicals. This inadvertently preserved high biodiversity, the hardest part of organic farming — and it cannot be created overnight.
