2008 Domaine Bachelet Cotes de Nuits-Villages

The 2008 Domaine Denis Bachelet Cotes de Nuits-Villages is a testament to the classic and savory profile of Burgundy's reds. With vineyards planted in 1952 on limestone and clay soils, this wine offers a glimpse into the terroir-driven character of the region. The wine is crafted through meticulous winemaking, including 100% destemming, indigenous yeast fermentation, and ageing for 16-18 months in French oak barrels, with 25% new oak. This process has imbued the wine with a harmonious blend of red fruit, earthy undertones, and a hint of spice. It is best enjoyed after a brief decanting period of 30 minutes and pairs wonderfully with dishes like roasted duck or grilled lamb chops.
