The 2019 Vina Almaviva is a bold and structured red wine from Puente Alto, Chile. It presents a deep dark garnet color with purple reflections and a discreet brightening on the rim. The nose is filled with classic Cabernet nuances of blackcurrants, candied purples, some toffee and liquorice, and a note of fine oak, creating a multilayered, inviting bouquet. On the palate, it is substantial yet elegant, with a fine fruit expression of dark fruit, balanced acidity, and ripe tannins. The finish is marked by fine minerality, indicating good ageing potential. This wine is already seductive in its youth, making it a perfect choice for those who appreciate a well-rounded and complex red wine.
