2021 Amuse Bouche Vin Perdu Napa Valley Red Blend

Tasting Note: Deep ruby, expressive and concentrated. The nose opens with spiced dark cherries, bramble berries, a spice-box complexity and fine cedar. Crushed rock mineral notes lift the aromatics and lead to a palate that is layered and full-bodied, showing freshness and tension alongside super-fine tannins and a lingering, slightly chalky finish.
Producer Notes: Crafted by Amuse Bouche Winery under the stewardship of owner John Schwartz and winemaker Heidi Peterson Barrett, this bottling reflects the house focus on site selection and textural precision. Small-lot blending and careful oak integration aim to balance power with finesse.
Winemaking Notes: Matured in oak, this wine is assembled from select Napa Valley lots, vinified with attention to extraction and tannin management to preserve freshness while delivering structure and depth. The style emphasizes layered fruit, spice complexity and a focused backbone.
Vineyard Notes: Fruit is sourced from prominent Napa sites including Fantesca, Amuse Bouche, Au Sommet, La Sirena and Barrett & Barrett vineyards — a mix of hillside and valley blocks that contribute depth, minerality and concentrated ripeness.
