The wine presents inky dark fruit, cassis, tobacco, fine leather, and charcoal. It has a great mouth feel, combining freshness and power, grainy tannin with plenty of weight, restrained dark fruit and a very long lingering finish. It is best served with beef, lamb, game, and poultry. The wine is best decanted for 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to fully develop.
