The 1995 Chateau Margaux is a testament to the art of winemaking in the prestigious Margaux appellation. This vintage exudes a medium intensity of ruby-red hues, with a nose that captivates with cedary and high-toned aromas, complemented by a chalky, mineral touch. The palate is graced with an abundance of dark fruit, showcasing power and a smooth texture. The intense core of cassis fruit is tightly interwoven with notes of cedar and tobacco, promising to reveal more complexity as it opens. The alcohol is well-balanced, and the wine concludes with a long, persistent finish, echoing cedar and lead-pencil nuances. A truly great vintage, it offers power, depth, richness, and complexity, yet retains a delicate, subtle, and harmonious character.
