Tasting Note: Deep, inky ruby with an intense aromatic core of black fruits — plum, blackberry and cassis — layered with dark chocolate, dried licorice, tobacco and a discreet smokiness. Truffle and toasted oak loom on the mid-palate while a bright acidity lifts the dense fruit. The palate is concentrated and richly textured, showing ripe, well-extracted tannins and a very long, layered finish. Producer Notes: From a dominant site at the highest point of the appellation, this cuvée expresses exceptional soil complexity and a 360° exposure. The estate emphasises terroir expression and biodiversity, yielding wines of power tempered by refined precision and ageing potential. Winemaking & Ageing: Fermented and extracted to achieve depth and polish, the wine was matured for about 18 months in oak barrels to integrate structure and spice without overpowering fruit. Classic élevage and a cork closure allow further development in bottle. Vineyard Notes: The vineyard sits atop the appellation, benefiting from optimal sun exposure and varied soils that contribute to mineral detail and concentrated ripeness. Biodiversity in the parcel is long-standing, feeding balanced ripeness and complex aromatics. Cellaring: Built for the long term (drinking window to 2050). For near-term enjoyment, open and decant for around 60–120 minutes to reveal layers.
