2021 Domaine Fernand & Laurent Pillot Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot

This Morgeot Premier Cru from Fernand & Laurent Pillot balances richness with a focused mineral core. Aromas of citrus peel, white peach and toasted almond unfold into layers of buttery cream, vanilla oak and subtle honeyed notes. The palate is medium-plus, sleek and muscular yet lively, showing bright acidity, saline tension and a persistent, savory finish. Oak influence is present but well integrated, lending spice and texture without overwhelming the wine's underlying terroir-driven clarity. Drink now through the near-term cellar window for pure enjoyment or give a few years to soften further.
